Be transported back through the very portals of time in the novel “Woman of sin”. In a time when Caesars ruled and Rome was at its height of authority and power. Enter into a land harsh to the poor and kind to the rich and elite. One where slavery was common and justice had little place. A land and time where Jesus ‘the Nazarene’ walked the earth in the midst of the injustice and chaotic darkness. This is a gripping novel that will keep you coming back for more.

Author Debra Diaz, in her fast paced novel, “Woman of Sin” takes you back through the centuries in her timeless classic. Follow young Alysia down her road of capture from her place of privilege in her Athenian home, to a Roman household to be bound forever as a slave. Taken from her home she loses everything, but she is yet to gain everything at the end of her road of travel. She is about to find true love in every sense of the word.

Author Debra Diaz elegantly and beautifully weaves an unforgettable story of true love, mirroring scenes taken from the scriptures, where young Alysia is tested by trials and tribulations back in a time where women were of little esteem, except for their purpose in child bearing. Perseverance, romance, forbidden love, and endless unfailing love, take you on an adventure that you will not forget.

With the use of beautiful, descriptive and explosive imagery, biblical scenes come alive as the author uses the “Woman of Sin” to introduce the reader to a man called Jesus as He walked the earth and preached. Some called him ‘rabboni’ the word for ‘great teacher.’ Yet as the story unfolds you will see that he is more than a great teacher, for he can perform such miracles as healing a leper, healing the blind and the paralyzed, even raising the dead. He was the Son of God walking the earth, the lamb without sin, crucified for our sins so that we might live. Without His resurrection from the cross, he would be little more than a famed teacher to once have graced this earth. The author leads you to want to know more about this Jesus.

Filled with suspense and romance, this novel is eloquently written and will take the reader back through time and lead you on a journey that is so real, so tangible, you’ll not want it to end. A true masterpiece! This book comes highly recommended. You will not be able to put this one down, I assure you! The book is truly a mini-series in the making. Take a journey through the very portals of time, back through the centuries and experience the thrill of entering into a never-ending tale of undying love that will grip your very soul.

Exercise, Health, And Fitness

Remember your younger days and school. All the walking, running and playing. From those early ages of school right into high school you were daily active. Most of the time you were probably playing so hard that you didn't even want to take the time to stop and eat lunch or dinner. It seems that in our younger years we were always on the move.

Then as we get older we find our schedules and life changing so much, that we rarely walk, run or play. Then as we get even older and our health starts to fail, aches and pains set in, potential weight problems, heart problems and other things. Our doctors encourage us to exercise, walk, workout and daily eat healthy foods.

Watching Your Salt Intake

It wasn't until someone very close to me encountered heart failure that I really started to understand about the foods we eat and salt intake. However, after reading the medical reports and the doctors recommendations with regards to salt intake. I came to understand that we daily take in a whole lot of salt and many times without even knowing it.

You see for a person dealing with heart failure, 2000 mg of salt each day is the limit. Anything past that and it can have drastic affects.

Now for the reality check. Check your daily salt intake for breakfast, lunch, dinner and all the snacks that you eat and you will be shocked. The average fast food meal runs 1,200 to 1,500 mg of salt per meal. The average restaurant meal runs about the same and sometimes higher. The average morning, lunch and dinner can run upwards of 3,500 to 4,000 mg of salt for home cooked meals.

You might be saying I don't have heart problems. That may be true, however go read about the affects of salt on our heart and health.

This page is very informative which shares, Nutrition And Diet and the following page shares lots of information about Lower Salt Intake. Check out the following page at Salt And Heart Disease for further information. Remember, being educated about these matters will help us all to live healthy lives.

Health, Family And Food

There's no doubt that the foods that we eat play an important part of a families health. Many times we have this rush rush lifestyle that makes fast foods and microwaves almost a daily part of our life. That's not healthy.

Make a quality decision to eat healthy. Take the time to make time to prepare a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner and stay away from those foods that in time will catch up with us.

Living a healthy life requires eating healthy which requires disapline.

Healthy Salads

Here's a delicious healthy salad that is simple to make.

Some nice lettuce from a head of lettuce.
Some sliced tomato.
Some cut red cabbage.
Some thinly sliced carrot.
Some sliced avocado.
Toss and add your favorite salad dressing,

It's simple, delicious, healthy and makes a great salad.

The Importance Of Eating Healthy Foods

It's important to eat right and eat healthy foods. Back about a year ago my wife caught a virus that attacked her heart and placed her in the hospital. The virus damaged her heart mussel which left her diagnosed with heart failure and a pacemaker. Life dramatically changed.

Since then we have come to understand many things about the foods that she can eat and the foods that she can't. Within this, we have also learned what foods are best for her condition and heart. This further educated us in understanding the importance of eating healthy foods for our entire family.

Here is a great site that will help educate you regarding healthy foods and healthy eating. It's called The Worlds Healthiest Foods and it's filled with valuable information.

Thanksgiving Dinner & Your Health

I don't know if your like me, however at Thanksgiving I have a tendency to set my diet aside and make up for losses which usually leads to eating just a tad too much. This year I am making a conscious effort to apply some balance and not become the human garbage disposal.

I've decided to enjoy a nice salad and of course a nice plate of the thanksgiving dinner less second and quite possibly thirds without some late midnight snacks. Of course it's up in the air at this point on the Punkin pie with wip cream.

Join me in eating healthy by eating less. Watch your salt intake and drink lots of water.

Spiritual Nutrition By Author Christine Prescott

Spiritual Nutrition: Healthy Eating for the Christian Heart compares the nutrients in food with the nutrients Christians need to be spiritually healthy.

Spiritual Nutrition includes a discussion of the USDA’s MyPyramid and presents a spiritual nutrition pyramid. The book discusses fast food and five basic nutrients in food (reviewed by a licensed nutritionist). Five core spiritual nutrients are compared with the five food nutrients. Prayer is like water—necessary for life. Bible study is like protein—helps us grow. Christian fellowship is like carbohydrates—gives us energy. Corporate worship is like healthy fats—helps keep our hearts healthy. Vitamins are like Philippians 3:8 (thinking on good things)—ensure that the other four nutrients work at their maximum. Love, giving and service are like additional nutrients and exercise for our spiritual lives. For each spiritual nutrient, the book discusses good “fast food” choices and more spiritually nutritious choices.

Spiritual Nutrition includes many ideas for developing good spiritual nutrition. The final chapter, “Now What Do I Do?” shows step-by-step how good spiritual habits can be developed. The book includes menus for a week of good spiritual nutrition, how to have good spiritual nutrition when traveling, when sick, on busy days and at work. Both nutritional and spiritual resources are included at the end of the book.
